Rabbi Dave Levy
Dave was the International Director of USY from 2012-2017, overseeing all youth summer programs and year-round operations in North America, Europe and Israel. Prior to his time at USY, Dave served as the Director of Jewish Education for the Hillel at Syracuse University and as the Director of Jewish Life at Colgate University. Dave has also served as an Executive Coach for new Hillel directors.
For Dave, whose career working with children, teens and young adults is coupled with a lifelong passion for sports, RSA is the perfect fit, and he is currently pursuing his athletic coaching certification at SUNY Cortland. Dave received his rabbinic ordination in 2004 from JTS and his bachelor degrees from Columbia University and JTS in 1999.
Dave lives in New York City with his wife, Rabbi Rachel Ain, and their two sons, Jared and Zachary.
Yoni attended the University of Kansas, majoring in athletic training. There he worked with the varsity football, baseball, and women’s softball teams. Yoni’s sports education rose to a new level when Coach Roy Williams asked him to join the men’s basketball team as the student athletic trainer. Following college, Yoni continued his work as an athletic trainer with Nova Southeastern University.
Yoni’s passion for sports and working with children was nurtured during the 30 summers he spent at Camp Ramah in the Poconos. As a staff member, Yoni worked as a counselor, unit head, and basketball coach. Yoni has a master’s degree in Jewish education from the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem. Prior to becoming RSA Associate Director, he was a full-time Jewish educator, teaching at the Carmel Academy in Greenwich, CT, and most recently, at the Rockwern Academy in Cincinnati, OH.
Yoni and his wife, Michal Raucher, live in Cincinnati with their three kids, Naftali, Nessa, and Hadas, and dog Shoko.
Bonnie Schwartz Nolan
Business Manager & Head Swim Coach
Bonnie is the second Jewish woman to swim across the English Channel. She received her undergraduate degree in economics at The Johns HopkinsUniversity and her MBA from Columbia University. At Johns Hopkins, Bonnie was on the varsity swim team and was very involved with Hillel and Baltimore Jewish life.
Since 2001, Bonnie has worked at the JCC in Manhattan, where she has served in a variety of capacities including Financial Analyst and Director of Aquatics. She has spent the last four summers as the Aquatics Director at Camp Ramah in California.
Bonnie is an American Red Cross Authorized Provider, teaching CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding; a USA Swim Coach; and a Pose Method® Certified Sports Technique Specialist.
She lives with her husband, Gray, and their dog, Raven, in New York City.
Head Soccer Coach
The Ramah Sports Academy is excited to announce that Troy Antonacci will be serving as our Head Soccer Coach for Kayitz (Summer) 2018!
Troy comes to the Ramah Sports Academy with extensive playing and coaching experience.
As a player, Troy earned all-city honors while winning three high school titles with Martin Luther King High School. He also won national titles with Herkimer College, Briarcliffe College and The Greek Americans (CSL). Troy played with the Olympic Development Program team for five years where he made two regional finals appearances. Additionally, he played with the U-23 Cosmos, semi-professionally with New York Athletic Club (NPSL), and in several tournaments overseas. Troy has trained with professional teams such as NYCFC, and NY Cosmos, and has worked extensively with Wilmer Cabrera, the current coach of the Houston Dynamo in the MLS.
As a coach, Troy carries a USSF E and F license, and has coached with New York Red Bulls and New York Cosmos youth teams. Troy has also coached at college showcases with andGoSports as well as college summer camps at Hofstra University.
Currently, Troy is a teacher and coach at Success Academy Charter School in Brooklyn, and we are thrilled to have him on the field with us at the Ramah Sports Academy this summer.
Head Tennis Coach
The Ramah Sports Academy is excited to announce that Marcy Cohen will be serving as our Head Tennis Coach for Kayitz (Summer) 2018!Marcy has been a fixture in Connecticut tennis for more than 20 years as a professional tennis instructor and as a competitive player. She is active at the national level with the United States Tennis Association in promoting the instruction of young players – from pre-school to high school – and promoting the game of tennis.
In addition to founding her own tennis academy, highlights of Marcy’s tennis career include over a decade of coaching at the Yale Tennis Camp and competing in the 20th World Maccabiah Games on the Master’s Tennis Team in Tel Aviv, Israel in July of 2017. Marcy is certified with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) as well as the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), and is an active leader in the USPTA. Marcy was also honored by the Tennis Hall of Fame for her commitment to youth tennis.
On joining the RSA team, Marcy said: “I am so excited to be teaming up with the Ramah Sports Academy as the Head Tennis Professional this summer at Fairfield University. It is my vision that the tennis courts will be bustling with tennis players eager to have fun, learn and improve their tennis skills, manage their tournament play, and show great character on and off the tennis courts. Let’s have a ball!”
